The importance of preparing graduates for work is recognised. By embedding discussion of work outcomes and expectations in teaching delivery key messages can be delivered and learner behaviour affected more successfully.

By providing information at the right time, within the context of teaching and learning and through learner-accessible media improvements in learner’s work readiness can be made.

Learners engage with information that has a high relevance to their needs. The method of access as well as time to assimilate information and act on it are important factors which affect the uptake of information by learners.

This paper discusses the use of a mobile study guide to embed strategic messages within the delivery of the course material and provide contextualised pathways for learning and engagement.
